Who is your program designed for?
Children ages 3 1/2 to 5 will benefit the most from our Big (5 Day) or Small Box (3 Day) Program.
Children ages 2 to 4 will benefit from the Little Box Program.
**All of our programs can be adapted. Choose to complete only the activities that are developmentally appropriate for the children in your class.**
What makes The Learning Box Preschool program different?
Our program has been written by team of experienced educators that have years of experience working with young children. The program is creative and unique. We have worked tirelessly to make each days activities fun for the children, yet easy-to-use for the instructor all at a surprisingly affordable price.
What qualifications does your curriculum director have?
Our head curriculum director has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology. In addition to her academic education, she has over 20 years teaching in a classroom in the state of Idaho. We also have additional licensed Teachers with Bachelors of Arts in Education writing for us as well.
I have no teaching experience. Can I use this program?
Yes, we have designed the program to be easy-to-use. The curriculum guide includes a calendar overview, daily instructions, and helpful teaching tips. Each day’s materials are organized into daily packets. These packets contain the activities instructions and materials needed for project completion.
How can I purchase?
You may purchase online, mail, phone, or fax. We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, Money Orders, and Checks. Currently we can not process checks on the web so please call. Mail orders need to include a printed order form.
Are all the materials I need included in the kits?
Most of the materials needed have been included in the daily packets. However, there are a few items which you will need to supply. There is a suggested supply list included in the curriculum guide. These include: crayons, scissors, glue, and paint supplies. If you wish to complete and the “EXTRA” activity, these items will be needed as well.
How much time is needed to complete the program?
Our program is designed with learning and activities for a 5 day week (Big Box Program). It should take approximately 1-2 hours each day, depending on the ability and needs of the children, the number of children participating in the program, and whether or not you chose to complete all the activities suggested. We have added “EXTRA” activities such as food experiences and field trips to further enhance learning. We also have a 3 day a week program.

Join our No Hassle Auto-Delivery program. By the 5th of the month, we will simply charge your credit or debit card for the upcoming month’s Learning Box. We will ship the Learning Box by the 15th and it will delivered to your door step within days. This is an easy alternative so you won’t forget to call and place your next months order. There is no contract so you may cancel at anytime.
What is the difference between the 3 day and 5 day a week Learning Box Preschool program?
The 3 day a week program follows the same themes, colors, letter, and numbers as the 5 day a week program with fewer days of activities and fewer overall crafts. The student will still receive the traditional “Fun”damental activities, although some will rotate monthly. For example: A child would receive a Math Board in September, Math Manipulatives in October, and once again a Math Board in November. The same is true for the Shape Puzzle and Shape Collage. These activities will rotate.
How many days our in the Little Box Program (2-4 Year olds Program)?
The Little Box program is run as a 3 day a week program. There are 12 days of supplies and 1 “Special” day included. There are 2 “Fun”damentals typically included on every day. You could expand the program to a 5 day a week program by completing only 1 “Fun”damental activity per day.
Can I switch between the 3 day and 5 day a week program throughout the year?
Yes. If you know that you going to be extra busy during certain months or your preschool program will be closing around the holiday periods, chose the 3 day box for that month. Both Learning Box’s will be introducing the same letters, number, shape, and colors utilizing the same themes, so go ahead. Please just let us know if you need to adjust your order before the shipping day to ensure accurate and prompt service from us at The Learning Box Preschool.
What comes in an extra Teacher Pack?
You will receive a curriculum guide, set of monthly displays, Teacher Weekly/Theme Bags.
Can I purchase extra Teacher packs?
Yes. You may purchase extra Teacher packs or curriculum guides. We understand that those parents that have a co-op preschool setup occasionally need additional Teacher packs. We only have one rule that you cannot purchase more Teacher packs than you are receiving children materials for.
What does your curriculum guide look like?
Our curriculum guide is a step by step guide of what you are going to accomplish every day. The left side of the guide shows circle time and the "fun"damental activities. This will include math, patterning, letters, reading, colors, sign language, and sight words. The rights side of the guide is where the theme related activities are located. This is where you will typically find activities in social studies, science, crafts, activities related to the 2 theme books that are included every month.
Does your program meet any educational standards?
Yes, our program strives to meet the guidelines for the National Association of Education for Young Children and National Head Start program. Due to varying state guidelines, it would be necessary to verify compliance for your individual state.

Yes, we strive to have the highest level of customer satisfaction. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied, please call for directions to return the unused materials for a full refund minus shipping and handling within 10 days of delivery.

How long does it take to receive my Learning Box once I have placed my order?
We typically ship the next month's program around the 10th-15th of the month. If you have purchased after the 10th, we will process and ship your order within 2-4 business days. After it leaves our facility UPS guarantees anywhere from 3-7 business days for delivery. We use UPS for shipping for the lower 48 states. If you need your order sooner, we can ship overnight or second day for an additional fee. You must call for this option.
With the increase in need for homeschooling due to Covid-19, we are working overtime trying to get all kits out in a timely manner, it has been taking closer to 3-7 days for processing for the kits to leave our facility and 4-7 days for shipping after it leaves our facility. Sorry for the inconvenience
Why do you only work on number sense from numbers 1 to 10?
We work on number sense with numbers 1-10. This is understanding that the number 3, for example, is more than just a word and 3 is also quantity. We will discuss different methods of to make 3 using math boards and math manipulatives. We work on counting to 1-30. Throughout the year, children will learn to be able to start with the number, for example, 8 and begin to count forward and backwards.
*Our Little Box Program works on counting 1-10.
What if something is missing from the kit?
If there is that rare occurrence that something was mistakenly not included, we would be happy to send it out immediately. Just just let us know as soon as possible at 1-877-KID-BOXS so the items will arrive before you need to use them.
What is your return/shipping policy?
We have a 10 day return policy for our product minus any shipping fees. Any shipment refusal is an additional charge of 25$ per box.
All clearance items are non returnable/refundable.
